CLIMBER Down Jacket – A Mountain Essential
The Climber is a technical down jacket designed for high-intensity activities in winter conditions. It serves as a standalone outer layer or a high-performance insulating mid-layer.
In this model, the priority is biomechanics of movement. We have implemented a unique “angel wing” construction—an advanced cut that ensures the jacket stays in place even with arms fully extended upward. This prevents the jacket from riding up and exposing the back, a crucial feature during climbing and gear handling.
The insulation features 850 cuin Polish goose down (95/5), encased in lightweight yet durable Pertex Quantum® fabric with a hydrophobic DWR finish. The use of a stitch-through chamber construction (DSX) allows for significant weight reduction while maintaining high thermal performance. The design is rounded out by a technical pocket layout and a helmet-compatible hood.
The standout innovation of this model is the “hood expander” adjustment system. We have replaced traditional, cumbersome elastic cords with a concealed zipper. Unzipping it releases a specialized gusset, instantly increasing the hood’s volume to accommodate a climbing helmet. This solution is faster to operate and far more streamlined.
